Jaesic is from Rochester, NY. They left New York at 18 years old to attend school and discover life outside of a conservative, Christian upbringing. Graduating from the University of Michigan in 2016 with a Women’s Studies (now Gender Studies) degree, they have continued on a path to self-discovery and community engagement and education. During their time at university, they worked as an actor and facilitator in the Educational Theater Company (UMetc), where they educated students and faculty on microaggressions, the bystander effect, and effective communication. After finishing their degree, they worked at the LSA Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Culture Office as the curator and facilitator for intercultural responsiveness training for staff members. At the age of 25, they came out as nonbinary with they/them pronouns, and now fully embrace all that is them. They are genderfluid to genderless (autigender nonbinary), pansexual, polyamorous, AuDHD (autistic/ADHDer), disabled with Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and its comorbidities, and spiritual without religion. They are incredibly passionate about being an agent of change for a more equitable and compassionate society. Aside from writing, making music, and dancing, making meaningful connections and contributing to their community is at the center of their world.
Other passions include painting, acting, DJing, flow arts, modeling, stand up comedy, and horseback riding. If you’re interested in keeping up with Jaesic’s music and artist antics, click on the links to the right!
